North of us there is the Bavarian Forest. Bogen is a sub-centre of local tourism, business and industry. It is also known for its beer festival and its traditional carnival pageant. There has been quite a lot of immigration from the former Soviet Union. So about 15 per cent of Bogen’s population can also speak Russian.
